The Royal Wedding

A blog that prides itself on being updated cannot fail to post information related to what everybody is talking about: The Royal Wedding!!

Check these sentences from the video. What do you think the underlined words mean? If you don't know, you can check by clicking on them.

“What's truly surprising, and certainly reflects the state of news today, other networks and outlets not associated with news have also thrown their hat in the ring to cover the Prince William and Kate Middleton wedding, including The Weather Channel, Game Show Network, and Comedy Central.”
The LA Times agrees with O’Donnell, pointing out, we’re fighting three wars, people! But the newspaper also plays
devil’s advocate, reminding us journalism is a business after all.

London!!

After a long break, I'm back, and this time with some info about London. I was fortunate enough to be there in January and I think this video summarizes the best of the city. If you've never been there, watch it to learn where to go on your next trip. If you find it too difficult, don't worry and just enjoy the beautiful landmarks shown.

Which of the places do you like the most?

Happy New Year!!

The new year brings with it lots of memories about what happened the year before and a lot of ideas about what we'll be able to achieve in the new one. It's a time of decisions and resolutions.
As a New Year's present, I want to share this beautiful poem with all of you. The poem is called "The road not taken" and it was written by Robert Frost

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Christmas shopping

Already? Yes, it is time to think of the gift we'll buy our loved ones for Christmas. In the States, people do this well in advance. There shopping starts soon, on the day known as Black Friday. Now, in the era of technology, they can also shop on Cyber Monday, an option that is becoming quite popular.
